Ronan would personally kill Ovette and her daughter, Kamaria, finding their dying screams to be "pitiful", which prompted Drax to vow revenge on him and Thanos. Ronan was ordered by Thanos to lead an attack on Kylos, which resulted in half of the Kylosian population being slaughtered.
